Just
Training Solutions, LLC was created by Ed
Mitnick, a professional legal trainer and experienced labor and employment
attorney. We provide training and consulting services to employers on harassment,
discrimination, diversity, and other labor and employment related issues.
In particular, we offer comprehensive, educational, and entertaining workshops
tailored to meet each employer’s specific needs. Our training workshops
typically involve a variety of interactive and multi-media exercises designed
to stimulate and educate participants on the details of the employer’s
policies as well as the basics of discrimination and harassment law. The
training sessions focus on enhancing and fostering communication among and
between employees, which encourages and promotes mutual respect in the workplace
and stops problems before they rise to the level of disciplinary or morale
issues, or worse, legal complaints.
For example, our Discrimination Prevention training workshop for employees typically includes: an entertaining discussion on mutual respect in the workplace; a review of specific examples of conduct prohibited under both the employer’s policies and State and Federal anti-discrimination laws; communication techniques between coworkers and supervisors; and, a review of how to report and respond to complaints of alleged prohibited conduct. We also provide a comprehensive workshop for managers entitled, “What Every Supervisor Should Know – Legal Rights of Employees.” This training typically includes a review of: Federal and State anti-discrimination Laws; the Family and Medical Leave Act; the Americans with Disabilities Act; religious rights of employees; interviewing techniques; writing legally-sound constructive counseling and disciplinary notices; procedures for conducting a prompt and through investigation of an employee complaint; and, communicating effectively with a employee raising a legal right. With respect to all our training workshops, we tailor and adjust the length and the specific topics covered depending upon each employer’s particular needs. |
